Terms of service
These terms cover BandCoins Social at bandcoins-social.vercel.app. The desk is separate from the main BandCoins product. The privacy policy says what the desk stores.
What the service is
BandCoins uses this site to draft a blog and the social posts that point back to it. After a person at BandCoins approves a post, the site can publish it to BandCoins' own accounts on X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Publishing uses each platform's official API. Nothing here is posted to someone else's account.
Who may use it
Anyone may read the public blog, these terms, and the privacy policy.
The publishing desk is private. It is not a tool for other bands, other brands, or the public. You do not get an account here. You cannot connect your own X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube account to this app, and the app will not post on your behalf.
Our posts
Posts and essays are written by BandCoins, or by someone we asked to draft them. We approve them before they can go out. A post with a time on it waits until that time. Publishing can be left off, and then nothing is sent to a platform.
The blog is for fans to read. It is not a place to submit your own posts, comments, or accounts.
Platform rules
A post also has to follow the rules of X, Meta, TikTok, and YouTube. Those companies run their own services. This site does not control how they show, limit, or remove a post after it is sent.
Acceptable use
Do not try to break into the desk, the database, or a connected account. Do not flood the site to take it offline. Do not copy the desk and present it as BandCoins.
No third-party accounts
We will not connect a third party's social account, post as a third party, or collect a third party's profile through this app. The only accounts this service publishes to are BandCoins' own.
The service can change
We may change the desk, pause publishing, or take an essay down. If these terms change, the date at the top changes with it.
No promise about the words
The blog and the posts are our own words about the band and the fans in the room. They are not a promise about the main BandCoins product, and they are not advice. The site is offered as it stands. We keep it up as best we can. A platform can still reject a post, and a scheduled post can wait.
